This is my final senior project, a guide to a speculative typeface. Dendrography is a typeface or series of symbols made from the natural patterns found in trees, specifically tree rings. It is using nature in its most organic form to go back to the simpler ways of communicating, through imagery and symbols.This is a speculative project based on the idea that technology is growing at a rapid pace with the consequence of security and privacy being practically non-existent. This book explores the possibilities and functions of an image-based typeface for future communication.
